The quart size is very versatile for a number of uses and the wide mouth makes it easier to position larger fruits and vegetables in the jar. At Ozfarmer Australia, we like to make our own homemade probiotic yoghurt in wide mouth quarts. We heat the milk and add the culture then pour the milk into sterilised quart jars and then incubate the yoghurt in the jar. Then when the yoghurt is ready, we just put a plastic storage cap on the jar and store it in the the fridge.

Quick Tips
Wide mouth jars are especially suitable for fruit and vegetables as this gives you more room to get the items into the jar.
Lids are not stainless steel. Hand wash only. Do not put in dishwasher. Dry thoroughly immediately after use to avoid corrosion.
