The Bucas Buzz-Off Rain Zebra + Neck is the perfect solution for warm, wet, and fly-heavy days. This versatile rug combines a waterproof and breathable ripstop upper to keep your horse dry, with a lightweight mesh zebra-striped lower that provides proven protection against flies.
Research has discovered that flies hate zebra stripes—they get disoriented by the high-contrast black and white pattern and tend to avoid it. This natural deterrent, combined with the rug’s full-coverage design, makes it ideal for horses sensitive to flies and midges.
The detachable neck and elasticated belly pad provide added protection while keeping the rug secure and in place. A mesh lining on the upper panel promotes airflow to keep your horse cool, and features like shoulder darts and silk-feel lining ensure comfort and freedom of movement.
This rug offers lightweight, waterproof, and UV protection (blocking approx. 80% UVA & UVB), keeping your horse dry, cool, and comfortable—even when the weather is anything but predictable.
