We source and distribute quality self-sufficiency products including freeze dryers, pressure canners, preserving jars, and farming supplies — all shipped from our warehouse in Kempsey.

Yes. We offer fast, reliable nationwide shipping from our Kempsey NSW warehouse. Some large items such as freeze dryers are delivered on pallets. Shipping costs and timeframes vary by product and location.

We stock Harvest Right (USA) and LYVN (Australian designed, engineered and assembled). Both are available in multiple sizes with Premier Industrial Pump options, with LYVN also offering commercial models.

Fruit, vegetables, meat, dairy, full cooked meals, herbs, and more. Freeze drying retains close to 95% of nutritional value and flavour — far better than traditional preserving methods including dehydration.

When stored correctly using Mylar bags and oxygen absorbers, freeze-dried food can last up to 25 years.

Freeze dryers run on standard Australian 240V outlets. The Medium model uses a 10 amp plug; the X-Large model uses a 15 amp plug. Always refer to your specific model's manual for requirements.

For best results, operate between 7–24°C. Units remain operational between 2–32°C. In temperatures above 32°C, a small fan directed at the pump is recommended.

Units typically include the freeze dryer, vacuum pump, vacuum pump oil, oil filter, stainless steel trays, user manual, impulse bag sealer, Mylar bags, and oxygen absorbers. Check individual product listings for exact inclusions.

We stock a wide range of quality brands including Ball Mason, Bell Mason, Weck, Le Parfait, Le Pratique, Bormioli Rocco, and Rex, in a variety of sizes and styles.

Our jars are suitable for pressure canning, water bath canning, fermentation, dry storage, gifting, and general kitchen storage. Always refer to the manufacturer's guidelines for the correct use of each jar type.

We do not recommend using recycled supermarket jars for pressure canning or water bath canning. Only purpose-made, tempered preserving jars are recommended for safe home canning.

We stock Presto pressure canners, including the latest 23 Quart / 21 Litre model with a stainless steel base, pressure gauge, and 3-piece regulator — exclusively designed for OzFarmer Australia.

Yes. The current Presto model sold by OzFarmer includes a stainless steel base, making it compatible with induction, gas, and standard electric cooktops.

The Presto 23 Quart (21 litre) canner holds:

• Up to 7 quart jars (946ml)
• 20 pint jars (568ml)
• 26 half-pint jars (236.5ml) with double stacking using an extra rack

Pressure canning is the only safe method for preserving low-acid foods such as meat, fish, vegetables, soups, and sauces. It reaches temperatures of approximately 116°C — well above boiling point — to safely neutralise bacteria including botulism.

High-acid foods such as fruits, jams, jellies, pickles, and salsas can be safely preserved using the water bath method. The Presto canner also functions as a water bath canner.

No. Presto canners are not designed to be used as sterilisers. Using them in this manner will void the warranty.

The 3-piece regulator allows you to process at 5 psi, 10 psi, or 15 psi. At sea level, canning/bottling is typically done at 10 psi.

Our Presto canners are imported directly from the Presto factory and custom-made for OzFarmer Australia, including the stainless steel induction-compatible base, pressure gauge, and 3-piece regulator upgrade.
