LYVN Freeze Dryers – Warranty Terms and Conditions

1. Standard Warranty Coverage

1.1 LYVN Home Freeze Dryers

All LYVN Home freeze dryers (Domestic Series) include a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.

1.2 LYVN Commercial Freeze Dryers

All LYVN Commercial freeze dryers (Commercial Series) include a 24-month limited warranty covering manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.

1.3 Extended Protection Plans (Optional)

Customers may purchase a LYVN Extended Protection Plan at the time of purchase:

• +1 additional year (Year 2)
• +2 additional years (Years 2 & 3)

Extended Protection Plans follow the same terms and exclusions as the standard warranty, with coverage extended for the applicable period.

2. Scope of Warranty

Warranty eligibility is determined by LYVN following a diagnostic review.
The warranty applies only to manufacturing defects confirmed by LYVN.

Where a warranty claim is approved, LYVN will provide:

• Technical support via phone or e-mail
• Troubleshooting assistance
• Supply of replacement parts that LYVN deems necessary

Most issues can be resolved by supplying parts directly to the customer to minimise downtime.

3. Customer Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for:

• All transportation and freight costs if the unit is required to be shipped back to LYVN and is subsequently diagnosed as misuse, user-related damage, installation error, environmental factors, or any issue not covered by warranty.
• Any costs arising from misuse, incorrect operation, or failure to follow instructions, including but not limited to damage to internal components, refrigeration systems, vacuum systems, or electronics.

4. Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover any fault, damage, or failure resulting from or related to:

• Unauthorised repairs, modifications, alterations, or aftermarket accessories, including changes to refrigeration systems, vacuum systems, electronics, firmware, or structural components
• Consequential or incidental losses, including food spoilage, property damage, loss of income, or any economic loss
• Service calls, labour, or technician visits not directly related to a confirmed manufacturing defect
• Use of non-LYVN parts or parts obtained from third-party suppliers
• Commercial or industrial use of Home models (Domestic Series), continuous operation, operation beyond the intended duty cycle, or operation outside recommended environmental conditions
• External causes, including improper power supply, unstable electrical conditions, environmental exposure, or acts of nature
• Units with serial numbers removed, altered, defaced, or unreadable
• Use of extension cords, power boards, adapters, or non-dedicated circuits
• Units not purchased new or not owned by the original purchaser

5. Operational Disclaimer

This product is designed for freeze-drying of food, ingredients, and other materials that are generally recognised as suitable for freeze-drying.
Use of the unit for unsuitable, reactive, hazardous, corrosive, or incompatible materials, or continuous operation beyond recommended duty cycles, may void warranty coverage.
