In the USA, canning (known as bottling) is a common household activity. This canner is perfect for bottling fruits on the stovetop and is considered the only safe way to bottle non-acidic foods like vegetables, meats, fish, soups, and sauces.
Essential Features for Efficient Canning
- Easy-to-Read Gauge: Automatically registers a complete range of processing pressures.

Three-Piece Regulator: Allows processing at 5psi, 10psi, and 15psi. Note that at sea level, normal pressure cooking is done at 15psi, but canning/bottling is done at 10psi. This regulator frees you from constantly monitoring the dial gauge, allowing you to focus on other tasks.
- 15psi = Full regulator
- 10psi = Remove the top ring only
- 5psi = Remove both rings
- Air Vent/Cover Lock: Ensures pressure builds up only when the cover is properly closed and prevents the cover from opening until the pressure is safely reduced.
Versatile and Durable
This Presto Pressure Canner also functions as a water bath canner for preserving fruits, jams, jellies, pickles, and salsas. Constructed from extra-strong, warp-resistant aluminum, it is suitable for use on regular and smooth-top ranges. It includes a cooking/canning rack and a complete instruction and recipe book.

Very solid canner and it was shipped in perfect condition, as you would hope I guess! It comes with a comprehensive instruction guide and there are a few recipes included in there too. Would happily purchase any long term replacement parts from ozfarmer in the future.
Great high volume pressure canner. It's ironic that the factory warranty is voided when using as a steriliser for mushroom substrates but instructions about how to are included 😄
So, I'm finally able to prepare multiple substrate bags for my oyster, lionsmane and other delectable gourmet mushrooms at once.
I also preserve meats and vegetables and the ability to run it at lower pressures due to the adjustable rocker weight is perfect.
