In the USA, canning (known as bottling) is a common household activity. This canner is perfect for bottling fruits on the stovetop and is considered the only safe way to bottle non-acidic foods like vegetables, meats, fish, soups, and sauces.
Essential Features for Efficient Canning:
- Easy-to-Read Gauge: Automatically registers a complete range of processing pressures.

Three-Piece Regulator: Allows processing at 5psi, 10psi, and 15psi. Note that at sea level, normal pressure cooking is done at 15psi, but canning/bottling is done at 10psi. This regulator frees you from constantly monitoring the dial gauge, allowing you to focus on other tasks.
- 15psi = Full regulator
- 10psi = Remove the top ring only
- 5psi = Remove both rings
- Air Vent/Cover Lock: Ensures pressure builds up only when the cover is properly closed and prevents the cover from opening until the pressure is safely reduced.
