Stockholm Tar is used around the world as a treatment for damaged hooves or as a mild general antiseptic.
Also used as a dressing for hoof disorders and treatment, especially in cattle and horses.
Other uses include as a wood preservative for outdoor furniture.
It also has been used when chickens start pecking a lower hen. Applying a smear of pine tar on the wound acts as a natural germicidal/antibacterial and discourages continued attacks on the affected hen due to its foreign texture
Stockholm Tar can also be used in the shearing shed as a mild antiseptic on shearing cuts, etc.
